Meet the LONSDOR JL30-01 and JL30-11, new smart key solutions for Jaguar and Land Rover, covering pre-2018 and 2018+ models with direct data copy, dual-frequency switching (315/433 MHz), and fast key generation. Here’s how to program a JL30-01 on a 2022 Jaguar XEL using the LONSDOR K518 PRO.
Required Tools
2 × LONSDOR JL30-11 or JL30-01 Smart Keys
1. Generate the Smart Keys
(1) Connect the K518 PRO to the vehicle via OBD.
(2) Select Smart Key Generation >> Jaguar >> 2018- ID49 433M.
(3) Insert the first JL30-01 into the K518 PRO card slot and tap Generate. Wait for the success message, then repeat for the second key.
2. Remove the RFA Module and Replace the CPU
(1) Go to Immo & Remote >> Jaguar >> Select from vehicle >> Jaguar (2018-) >> Smart key >> Read vehicle info. Check the RFA status. It should show RFA locked: Yes.
(2) Slightly lift the rear seat to access the RFA box on the right side. Remove its screw and take out the box.
(3) Replace the CPU chip with a blank chip.
(1) Connect the soldered wires to the Kprog-2 Adapter. Connect the adapter to the K518 PRO, then connect the 12V power cable.
(2) Select Write RFA initial data to write the data to the replacement CPU.
(3) Read the vehicle information again. The status should now show RFA locked: No. Tap OK to continue.
4. Program Both Smart Keys
(1) Select Replace RFA >> V2.0. Confirm that at least two keys are ready, then tap OK. Make sure the ignition is off.
(2) Place the first key inside the vehicle. Follow the prompts and press UNLOCK when instructed. Program all keys within 30 seconds.
(3) Hold the first key in your hand. Press and hold UNLOCK for 4 seconds until the buzzer beeps twice.
(4) Take the second key and press and hold UNLOCK within 4 seconds, following the prompts to finish programming. Tap Cancel to exit when no more keys need programming.
Key Test
Both smart keys worked normally, and the 2022 Jaguar XEL started successfully.
